본문내용
How do you feel when you hear the word 'fat'? Maybe many people think bad images like obesity, stout, greasy, and not good for health. Of course the fat is vital for humans and animals to live. But as we know, too much intake of fat is not helpful and may cause serious diseases that can threaten our life.
Fat is one type of lipid. It is made from two kinds of smaller molecules: glycerol and fatty acids. Glycerol is an alcohol with three carbons, and a fatty acid consists of a carboxyl group and a hydrocarbon chain, usually 16 or 18 carbon atoms in length.

First, somatic-cell nuclear transfer, known as SCNT, can be used to create embryos for research or therapeutic purposes. The most likely purpose for this is to produce embryos for use in stem cell research. This process is also called "research cloning" or "therapeutic cloning." The goal is not to create cloned human beings (called "reproductive cloning"), but rather to harvest stem cells that can be used to study human development and to potentially treat disease.
