-William Butler Yeats
The trees are in their autumn beauty, aThe woodland paths are dry, b Under the October twilight the water cMirrors a still sky; bUpon the brimming water among the stones dAre nine and fifty swans. d
utumn has come upon me aSince I first made my count; bI saw, before I had well finished, cAll suddenly mount bAnd scatter, wheeling, in great broken rings dUpon their clamorous wings. d I have looked upon those brilliant creatures, aAnd now my heart is sore. bAll`s changed since I hearing at twilight, cThe first time on this shore, bThe bell-beat of their wings above my head, dTrod with a lighter tread. d Unwearied still, lover by lover, aThey paddle in the cold bCompanionable streams or climb the air; cTheir hearts have not grown old; bPassion or conquest, wander where they will, dAttend upon them still. dBut now they drift on the still water

인간은 죽지만, 백조는 어디에선가 살아서 인간에게 기쁨과 정열을 보여 줄 것이라는 것을 “Delight men’s eyes when I awake some day To find they have Flown away?”
