No One Can Put GMO on Our ShelvesAs science progresses at an incredible pace, human beings are getting more and more close to the forbidden territory of the Creator. One of the most famous and controversial issue is about the production of genetically modified foods. According to a report “One of the reasons scientists worked on developing new strains of genetically modified (GM) foods was to combat world hunger. Yet they first modified tomatoes so they would not turn soft and rotten while they sat on grocery store shelves. Rather than helping the poor and starving.” (par. 3)
The idea on the basis of genetic engineering was to create a crop species which has a strong ability to adapt any kinds of harsh environment such as harsh soil, freezing weather, and insufficient water supply. However, most of today’s scientists who are living in extremely competitive societies seem to be not interested in such humanistic purposes. Instead, they are more interested in biologic business that makes a huge amount of money.
