Globalization has undermined national sovereignty. In terms of economics, the nation-states have relied on transnational corporations because it exerts a strong influence on national economy. In addition, globalization has also changed the global political conditions. It means that international authorities are more powerful than any individual nation-states. Furthermore, government cannot control public opinion any longer because there are a huge number of ways to get information that the government cannot control.

Economically, transnational corporations’ leverage is bigger than nation-states in one country. Because of this, TNCs occupy a large proportion of creation of job and added value and the acquisition of foreign currencies. If TNCs make a decision to shut down their factories or companies or their business fail, it will give a great ripple effect on whole community. Samsung Electronics, for example, has employed about 90,000 people in South Korea. But there are more.
