People ages 18-24 in the United States encounter the government on a daily basis, whether they want to or not.

The requirements to be eligible to vote in the constitution are: be at least eighteen years old on or before the date of election, be a United States citizen, and be registered.

It is sometimes forgotten that not all citizens had the right to vote at one time or another in the United States.

It is common for 18-24 year olds to feel distanced from politics and uninterested, because of their age and what they are doing in life.

Several efforts have been put forth to increase the participation of 18-24 year olds in the voting process.

The only way for 18-24 year olds to have a voice is to take advantage of the right to vote and exercise the right to vote.

본문내용

Commonly referred to as the group without a voice, 18-24 year olds have proven this statement true in the past twenty years, by not voting. The reasons for not voting are many, but the reasons only accomplish one thing: a low voter turnout limiting the voice of the 18-24 year olds. It is common for 18-24 year olds to feel distanced from politics and uninterested, because of their age and what they are doing in life. A common belief is that 18-24 year olds are finding themselves in the world whether it is in college or in the workforce. Students sometimes do not vote because they go to college out of their voting district.
