Culture Project ( My grandmother )

I used to hear many relative’s stories from mother whenever we had a talk about her life story, and I enjoyed because there are many interested cases with the stories. Above of all, there is one, Pansul Kim, who is my grandmother and very up-temper, so always she insists her opinion strongly and no one can persuade her and give another thoughts. She was born in South Korea capital city, Seoul, in 1935 and had four brothers. She was only girl and youngest person in the family, so everybody gave her love more than anybody. She could do anything she wanted except outside work because of cultural thoughts. Her father worked for the government as one of minister and mother ran a clothes shop. Money was not important things in their life anymore. But under the traditional mind in Confucianism, her parents didn’t want her to do any outside work. As a traditional woman, they wanted her just stay home and do such a quilt. She didn’t do anything and know well about outside world. After growing up, she got married with a handsome man who is introduced by parents. Her happiness had been starting over again with husband, and then had 2 sons and 4 daughters. She also thought that would be happier now on. But her happiness was not that long than she expected. Suddenly, her husband fell down and passed away by high-blood-pressure someday. It happened just after one year last baby born. She was shocked and in panic because she didn’t know anything
