In the predawn 4A.M. on June 25, 1950, Kim Il- Sung the leader of north part of Korea, let his troops across the 38th parallel line to invade into South Korea. Even though there had been on and off fighting between communism and democracy in Korean peninsula since the end of World War II, it was still a shock to south civilian and US government (Dolan, 1998). Harry Truman, who had been designated as a president due to Roosevelt’s sudden death at that time, had to make the difficult and quick decision on this unexpected situation. He had made the decision sending the US army to Korea to aid the south part of Korean civilian. On June 27, Truman authorized the US air and US navy forces south of the 38th parallel line to fight back for the South Koreans and also authorized the bombing of North Korea.
