I. Introduction
In the Cannes Film Festival in 1998, "Young - gu Art Movie. Co (YAM)", a small Korean film production company signed a copyright contract for its film "Yonggary" at $2.72million dollars. It was the first "pre-sale" export of a Korean film, and the signed amount was more expensive than any other Korean film ever exported. This event immediately stirred up great sensation in the Korean film industry. It marked the starting point of computer-graphics usage in Korean films, and furthermore became a 'role-model case' showing how Korean film producers should go about in their globalization strategies. And YAM made "2001 Yonggary" which is intensified SF, CG, International elements, and expected this movie raise the status of Korean SFX Movie.
