The How Mexican Immigrants Can Live Better in USA
The essay of “The Crazy Life” depicted that Luis and his son Ramiro were Mexican immigrants, however Luis and Ramiro were gang members and they lived in a very low class in US society. However, another essay of “The Conveyor-Belt Ladies” depicted another Mexican immigrant Rose, who became a famous journalist in the United States. From these two essays, it is very clear that the different living environment, social education and individual goals are the main factors, which influence Mexican Immigrants’ life in USA tremendously.
Environment is a foundation factor, which explains why Mexican immigrants have different life style. “We are a second-generation gang family. I was involved in gangs in Los Angeles in the late 1960s and early 1970s. When I was 2 years old, in 1956, my family emigrated from Mexico to Watts. I spent my teen years in a barrio called Las Lomas, east of Los Angeles”. (Luis J. Rodriguez, Paragraph 7, page 81). When most Mexican immigrants just came to the USA, they can only live in some poor place, some barrios, which have the most criminals, most gangs’ place. Children in that area have been raised in this kind of environment,
