Sometimes we have a doubt on our faith in God, when we are in desperate situation. In the book “The night” written by Elie Wiesel we can see 15 years old, Wiesel has a doubt on God’s justice even if he doesn’t deny His existence. As long as we remain as human beings who are not transcended, our faith of God cannot but be at stake. What would be the true meaning of faith, when we applied God to our lives’? I think the faith regarding belief would be the solidarity within God in reality.
At first, Wiesel prayed without realizing why he prays. And time goes by, getting in Holocaust, he began to think about the God’s absolute justice while being inside people who were dying and people who abandoned humanity. Not any longer it was the matter of Jew’s fate; it is more related to God’s action. Thus ‘The Night’ started to mean God’s silence. The night deprived him of his dreams and his own God. Moreover human being as a Jewish took the selfish genes by losing their reason. In this grim scene,
