Needs of individuals as well as the needs of the company were took into consideration of the restructuring of Jones and Shephard Accountants Information Services Division (ISD).The new organizational matrix was critical to the survival of the company. So it was rearranged to resemble the one pictured below. It reflects a more balanced, productive structure, able to solve current and future problems. A stronger matrix was needed so associate director’s job stayed, project managers were promoted, a customer relations project was created, the secretary pool was placed lower, Operation Manager’s empire was carefully broken up, the secretary pool and internal audit supervisor will now report to Administration Services Manager. Shift of power was minimized as a ways to overcome employee resistance to change and their tendency to look at shift in the balance of power.
