"Waikiki brothers" and "take care of my kitty" was excellent movie with small amount of the capital, but they were turned down by Korean pan.

Until late 90's, the Korean movies were completely turned away by large audience. However, now the status of the Korean movie became now quite considerable with the introduction of the movie " Shiri ". Newly released Korean movies shiri, jsa, friendshave recorded as box-office hits, moreover, the movies My sassy girl, my wife is gangster, the chitchat of the killers, demonstrate the Korean movie's golden age. This can be spoken for by the figure - 40% of take up of the Korean movie market share by local movies. Till 90's, our movie had been turned away by Koreans due to Hollywood blockbuster or Hong Kong action movie. This can be blamed for the lack of the story, technique, capital, but the main reason was that the idea that there's no Korean movie to be seen was deeply rooted in Koreans' mind.
