There have been so many different views to analyze Christina Rossettie's Goblin Market, and it still has much room to be analyzed in other views. However, here we talk about a view about the opposition and integration between good will and forbidden desire. The usual analysis for this poem sees the sisters, Lizzie and Laura, as separate individuals who have homosocial sisterhood or, follow the morality and not. However, here we see Lizzie as a symbol for good will like conscience or moral sense in an individual, and Laura as a symbol for the desire to accept the forbidden temptation, and we see these sisters mean the conflict between good will and bad desire in an individual. The crucial hint for this view is the stanza, 'Golden head by golden head,/...Locked together in one nest./'(line 184~198) The sisters sleep on the same bed, in the same figure. Because the image of sleep is an entrance to the subconsciousness, this suggests the sisters exist on the same consciousness, in other words, they are different faces in one individual.
